While the genocidal crisis continues in Gaza, the Judaization of Jerusalem and plans for the full annexation of the West Bank are quietly being engineered through legal maneuvers by the State of Israel. The Jerusalem Metropolitan Bill is one of these legal tactics, which proposes to legally annex settlement blocs north, east, and south of Jerusalem, directly impacting the future of nearby Palestinian villages.

Please write to and call your representatives, as the first in a series of initiatives from an emerging coalition campaign formed to challenge the accelerating ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem, or al-Quds (The Holy City). Not only are our Palestinian sibllings in Jerusalem suffering from apartheid and the ongoing threat forced of displacement, but the indigenous beauty, diversity, culture, and living history of the holy city are at serious risk of being forever lost in the face of settler-colonial violence and erasure. It is the indigenous diversity, culture and history that makes the city holy, a holiness profaned by the evils of ethnic clearnsing, racial supremacy, and apartheid.
Psalm 87
On the holy mountain stands the city founded by the Lord. He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other dwelling of Jacob. O city of God, what glorious things are said of you!
I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me— also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia. They have all become citizens of Jerusalem! Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.”
And the Most High will personally bless this city. When the Lord registers the nations, he will say, “They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.” The people will play flutes and sing, “The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”
We must preserve the holiness of the holy city!
Write to your representatives. Alert their attention to legal maneuvers the state of Israel is quietly engineering to annex the West Bank and further displace Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Invite them to an online briefing we are hosting to educate offices of Congress on the Jerusalem Metropolitan Bill. The briefing will be held online on Monday, September 15th at 10 a.m. Eastern.
(NOTE: We have been informed of an unfortanate issue with the software as it relates to the lack of inclusivie options for titles/honorifics. After inquiring with the company, we came to learn that available title choices vary depending upon the options provided by the specific representatives being contacted. For this reason, some districts include a variety of inclusive options, while others provide a very limited choice. Do Gooder informed us that the reason for the limited options are because this tool allows you to fill out the contact forms of multiple representatives at once. Therefore, if one of your representatives only lists the non-inclusive options, it appears that DoGooder defaults to that setting for all of your state reps so that you can contact all representatives in your state at once.
At FOSNA, we do our best to be inclusive of the diverse communities and individuals who support Palestinian freedom, so we are always looking for tools that reflect that commitment. A workaround could be to contact different representatives separately, but we fully understand the frustration of the resulting form not representing all the titles it could or should. It reflects poorly on us, though please know this certainly was never our intent. We will absolutely consider this as we look at tools to contact representatives in the future, and we appreciate all those who helped bring this to our attention!)
